Home and Garden Show and SEEDS
I had a great visit at the Home and Garden Show! Thanks to those who watched my presentation about preserving and cooking with Herbs! One of the things I touched on was how to store your fresh herbs when you get them home. Here are those slides
Hardy Woody Herbs are wrapped in a lightly damp paper towel in the crisper drawer.
Basil is treated like fresh flowers and put in water and left on the counter at room temperature.
This technique you may have seen me demonstrate this technique on my TV show “Taste Buds with Stephanie”: Cut off the bottoms, store in water covered with a plastic bag on top
We had a great few days at the show. I helped serve Maple Old Fashioned’s and Herby Lime Gin and Tonics at the Phi Decks booth. Phi decks is helping me make an outdoor kitchen and they have these cool automatic screens, decking and louvered decks that I cant’t wait to see in our final design.
