I’m always exploring ways to up my salad game in the summer. I love to add some sort of grain to add a little substance and increase the fiber and protein in the dish.
What I was not expecting was to become obsessed with Cheez-Its in a salad, but then my radio partner,
, had to do this…and now I am upside down in writing a recipe for a Cheez It’s Salad to make on @jasonshowtv on Friday.📸 @StephanieMarch

To add a little variety, I decided to explore a new grain - wheat berries. Wheat berries are the whole kernel of wheat, with the bran, germ, and endosperm intact, and are as versatile as other better-known grains. Below are recipes for wheat berries in the Instant Pot, a tasty new salad, and a versatile lemon dressing. Try these grains out and let me know what you think!

REMEMBER:
If you pre-order my next book and send me your receipt- I’ll comp your subscription for the next year! Pre-orders of a cookbook are so important! What happens when you pre-order is all those day-one sales count towards the total books sold the first day the book “releases,” in my case, 9/2. All those pre-orders count toward your launch on “Best Seller” lists, which helps the book get seen and leads to more orders.
