Memorial Day wins and losses - Flat Sourdough anyone? A Toffee Pretzel Recipe, my top 5 Summer Patios and a complete list of outdoor eats
Its Memorial Day Weekend friends! I hope you are enjoying food, fun and friends. This is traditionally the weekend my birthday falls on so we have a cabin. celebration with friends and family. I write this from our island, called True North, on Burntside Lake in Ely Minnesota. This is the home of the “True North Cabin Cookbook.”
What I Cooked:
Last year I tipped over making to many things and going crazy. This year I kept it simple with Chipotle Caesar Salad with chicken or shrimp, Sourdough bread which did not rise and was a total fail so I made i loaf with the one that looked half way risen and turn the rest into Flatcaccia. We ate it anyway. We rounded off the night with a Smore bar at the fire with lemon bars and toffeee pretzel brownies. Tonight we will make strawberry cake.
