I spent the weekend in Waupaca, Wisconsin, with family. Waupaca is Lake Country and my dad birth’s birthplace. He is buried there alongside my sister, and we have made it a family tradition to visit around Father's Day and his birthday. My dad was bartending at Indian Crossing Casino when he met my mom, who was there for a Bobby Vinton concert. When we visit, we like to eat at Simpsons, a supper club that has been around for many years. They have a broiled fisherman's platter that I am going to try and recreate someday that is swimming in butter and lemon and so good!
