Sunday Subscribers
3 ingredient watermelon margarita, new products I am loving, a creamy lemon dressing recipe and grilled cabbage with mint, peanuts and a thai vinaigrette is my favorite recipe of the Summer so far.
Hello friends and Sunday Subscribers:
I was laughing this week when I got a DM from a free subscriber who, in an impulsive moment, upgraded her subscription to paid, then changed her mind and wanted to cancel because she would instead use the money for steel muffin tins.
First, I laughed, canceled her subscription, and then I laughed again. Here is the email…
I GET IT. I impulse shop, buy things sometimes, and think twice later (remember the steel shelves I bought on Instagram that are still in my garage?) I know times are tight, food costs are high, and a beer at your favorite watering hole is now usually about $12 and that cocktail $15.
In these times, I sincerely appreciate you and your support of my work. I calculated all the jobs I have (MyTalk1071, Fox 9, Social Media Marketing Support for four clients, Cookbook Author, Podcast host for “Makers of Minnesota,” “Dishing with Stephanies Dish” and “WeeklyDish,” Culinary Market Curator for Stone Arch Bridge Festival and Art In Bayfront Park Duluth, Content Creator and Blogger) and like many of you, I am still trying to catch up to where I was pre-pandemic. Things are more expensive across the board, and time is getting harder to come by. I am great at adding things to my plate but not so great at taking them away. That said, I love this work and feel like Julia Child in mid-life discovering a career that I love. You could say this food life is my 5th act.
I started this newsletter to share Free recipes that I posted on my website and Instagram. I thought having a weekly newsletter where I post all my content each week in one place might be helpful. I added the “Sundays with Stephanie” Subscriber email for paid subscribers thinking those that wanted more recipes and more from the podcasts might enjoy some bonus content. I have to say writing the “Sundays With Stephanie” email each week is super fun. It is a way to share more personal things. Books I like, TV shows, products I think are cool and unique, and it allows me to share other things besides food too.
Please know I appreciate you and know that your support of my work is a gift and that sometimes you need those stainless steel muffin tins too. I don’t take your support for granted. If you have the ability or want to upgrade your subscription now, you will save 20% through July 16, 2023. Think of it as Christmas in July so you can get the muffin tins and your “Sundays With Stephanie” Subscriber email.
