What am I Buying:
I have lots of dishes and items that I use on the Jason Show. I also styled and photographed my own cookbook, so I have lots of occasional dishes too, and while my kitchen has lots of storage, I was running out of room. My original inspiration was this gorgeous office from Ohara Interiors and an article on incorporating color in your environment with Artful Living.
So back to Ikea, we went to get new shelves. They look perfect and provide me with an office I am obsessed with. I am surrounded by everything I love!!! Here is the new look. Now I am wondering… could i spray paint these with a high gloss yellow paint? Does anyone have any expertise here? I would love to know

Food 52 talked about new kitchen trends and colorful kitchen renovations. I can change things up someday, but look at these beauties in the meantime!

Speaking of Kitchens and buying things. Have I told you how obsessed I am with Souper Cubes? They are so handy for freezing and meal prepping.I use these Souper Cubes for storing soups, sauces, pesto, and freezing grains like quinoa, rice, or farro. Whenever I make these in the Instant Pot, I double and freeze them.

What I didn’t realize is these inventors were on Shark Tank. Lori Grenier invested in them a year ago! Here is their segment. Makers are so fun.
Also… on this week’s Jason Show, I showcased a few of Trader Joe’s new Spring products, including these inexpensive wines ($4.99 a bottle 😳) for Spring.

The Air Fryer I have from Cuisinart is marked down from $230 to $149.95 on Amazon. It can air fry, convection bake, broil, toast, and grill. It has a 3-pound air fryer capacity, and according to the brand, it can fit up to six slices of bread, a 12-inch pizza, and 3 pounds of wings.
I love the Delicacies “Food” Jewelry, charms, and necklaces for Mother's Day, and they are having a sale. If you know other “Tomato Ladies,” check out this beauty.
I love getting chocolates, and this 12-piece chocolate box from St Croix Chocolate Co is shipped and delicious at $35.99.
I love sending handwritten notes; some of the cards I still have in my mom’s handwriting are treasures. Start a monthly tradition of sending cards to your mom with this Quill and Cue subscription. Once per month, your surprise letter-writing kit will arrive. You’ll receive a beautiful card – selected by my friend Alyssa Toft (listen to her makers of mn podcast episode here) and left blank – along with the envelope, stamp, and their signature Cue Card with writing prompts.

Happy Mother’s Day. If you mother anyone in your life, and I know many of you do… cheers!
I think the contact paper is a great idea!
Beautiful space with Stanley posing :)
I am curious if painting the shelves would work. Another suggestion is to put contact paper on the back behind the displayed items to make them pop.
