Once warm weather hits, you’ll find me eating salads almost every day. It’s all the better in late summer when we start harvesting the Ely Hilltop Garden (planting season is coming soon!). But salads aren’t just summer food. They are a nice, light accompaniment to a larger meal, and make for a great lunch year round.
Part of what makes salads so great is they’re a choose-your-own-adventure food. You can swap out ingredients for different flavor profiles, and completely change the taste and texture with different dressings.
Salad dressings are super easy to make, and allow you to avoid the extra calories and unhealthy ingredients of many store-bought varieties.
