Tomorrow I have a book signing and cooking class at the Book Kitchen, where I will demo recipes from the "True North Cabin Cookbook” Vol 1 and Vol 2 to get booksellers excited about ordering the book this Fall.

I had the chance to see Sturgill Simpson at the Armory this week. What a talent!

As we took the scenic route through Wisconsin, I wrestled with what to make for the Booksellers but decided on savory drop biscuits with chives and sweet drop biscuits with strawberries.
They're the same base recipe with some unique mix-ins that give them a savory or sweet feel. Here is the sweet version from my first book, and these make delightful Strawberry shortcakes!
